What is the minimum order?

Our minimum order is just 12 jackets — one small team or one club order is a normal order — with volume tiers for uniform programmes, schools and hospitality groups.

How fast will my suit jackets arrive?

Your free mockup lands within 24 hours and finished jackets ship in about 2 weeks, with express turnaround available when an opening date or a term start is fixed. Made-to-measure lead times are quoted separately.

Why do you size from the shoulder rather than the chest?

Because the shoulder is the only part a tailor cannot fix. Sleeves, waist, length and buttons are all routine alterations; the shoulder seam sets the armhole, the sleeve head and the hang of the whole front, and changing it means rebuilding the jacket. Chest is the number on the label and the number that can be corrected later.

What actually goes wrong with a fused jacket?

The front is glued, and heat plus moisture — dry cleaning, a hot car, a humid room, an iron — eventually breaks the bond. The face fabric then lifts away from the interlining in ripples across the chest and lapel, and it cannot be repaired. That is not a reason never to buy fused; it is a reason to know which construction you bought and how it will be cleaned.

Is half canvas worth paying for?

For anything cleaned frequently or expected to last several years, usually yes, because a stitched chest piece physically cannot come unstuck. For a short promotional run it is longevity you are not going to use, and we will say so rather than sell it to you.

Why does our reorder never match the original jackets?

Because “40R” is a label rather than a standard. Two makers’ 40R are visibly different garments, so an order placed with whoever is cheapest that year produces a team in several generations of nearly-matching jackets. We hold the block, the maker and the cloth reference and quote a top-up against that record.

Can we order women’s jackets as smaller men’s sizes?

You can, and it is the most common reason a uniform programme has to be redone. Shoulder slope, armhole position and waist placement are all different, so a scaled-down block is wrong in several places at once. A separate block costs nothing extra on a programme of any size, and our fit sample sets include both.

Do you make trousers, shirts, chef coats or rain jackets?

No. Trousers are a different fit problem, and shirts, chef coats, scrub jackets and rainwear are different products with different construction. There are suppliers who do nothing else, and we will point you at one rather than sell you the wrong thing. Everything we make is a tailored jacket.
